I have been thinking about what a" Statement of Faith" is and in my heart it is not a man made doctrine. A Statement of Faith to me is the Word of God.
Now let’s break this down word by word. First what is the definition of the word Statement?
State-ment n.
1. The act of stating or declaring.
2. Something stated; a declaration.
3. Law. A formal pleading.
So when we make a statement, we are saying something about ourselves and what we believe in. We are declaring that we are Christians. And we are stating that we believe in the Law of God.
Second what is the definition of Faith?
Faith n.
1. Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing.
2. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See synonyms at belief, trust.
3. Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one's supporters.
4. Often Faith Christianity. The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God's will.
5. The body of dogma of a religion: the Muslim faith.
6. A set of principles or beliefs.
Faith is believing in something that we can’t see. Did not Jesus say to Thomas in:

So if I read into this correctly, a Statement is a declaring or declaration of Faith and faith is believing in one who is greater than oneself and that is God.
So if I personally were to give a Statement of my Faith it would have to be my Belief in the Word of God which is the Bible.
The Ten Commandments are a Statement of Faith.
The Life, Death and Resurrections of Jesus Christ is a Statement of Faith.
The Baptism of Water and of the Holy Spirit is a Statement of Faith.
2 John verse 3 : Grace be with you, mercy and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
2 John verses 9, 10: Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed;
It all boils down to this, the Whole Bible Is the Doctrine.
How much simpler can you get?
We have to get beyond all of man's doctrines and dogmas and opinions. We have to get back to what is truth and what is important and that is the Word of God.
