GOD'S LIGHT FOR THE WORLD

Put your Trust in God and not in Man.

Through out the Bible, man has strived to put their faith and trust in God, to see them through obstacles, famines, wars, and life itself.

We today are no different; we look to our God to keep us safe, free from harm and the evils of the world.

God cannot help us if we do not go to Him for that help. We must put ALL our TRUST in Him. Man cannot give us the one thing God can give and it is ETERNAL LIFE WITH HIM IN HEAVEN.

Man cannot be trusted; we have seen that through out history. Ever since sin came into the world through Satan, man has become evil, thoughtless, selfish, untrustworthy, backstabbing, and so many other words to describe his cruelty to his fellow man.

Here are some Scripture Verses to show how to Trust in God, and what happens when we do, and what happens when we trust in man instead.

Jer 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Psa 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Psa 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Psa 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Psa 25:2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Psa 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

Psa 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Isa 50:10 Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

Mar 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

Psa 56:11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

Jer 46:25 The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh and Egypt with their gods, and their kings even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him.

1Th 2:4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

1Ti 4:10 For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe.

1Ti 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded; nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Heb 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

There are many more verses in scripture that speak of Trust in God. Please seek them out for yourselves. Read God's Word and see for yourselves why it is so important for us to Trust in God and not in man.

Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

I would like to think that the above two verses show how much we must trust in God. The wide path which symbolizes man, leads to destruction, but the narrow path which symbolizes God leads to eternal life.

I would rather struggle up the narrow path, then to follow man on the wide path.
